Description
At the request of Réal, I am using this photo to show my RR friends why I live in Florida during the winter. This is a photo of my best friends driveway and it had not stopped snowing when he (Jim) took this photo. Jim is the same friend that we photographed an alligator, in the driveway of his Florida home and recently posted on RR. Jim was caught in this snow storm waiting for the birth of his next granddaughter, due February 2nd.
It will zoom and of course Jim gave me permission to post this photo!
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

WOW, this is such a spectacular shot, Dana, that I first have to post a comment on this one. I came to your gallery, and anyway I'm amazed about the beauties I discover here. Hoping the birth of Jim's granddaughter went well! This photo reminded me of some winters here in Holland, when the cars here down our street(a long hill,) could not drive up, and chaos was born. The farmer had to rid some cars with his tractor. It was a thrills for the kids with their sled. Our driveway was used as a parking then, because we live just downwards that big and long hill.
We have this in the Pyrenees, south of France.
Thanks Dana :) Everyones will remember this winter your area for amount of snow and my area for EXTREME COLD from POLAR VORTEX.....LAST WEEK WAS -40f all week...tomorrow a beautiful -22f LOL AWESOME SHOT.....MORE PLEASE FROM THIS NEW RECORD OF TOP 10 BAD WINTER IN AMERICA HISTORY P.S. wow lot of snow. hope the baby is ok .
cool shot
Great capture Dana, and i thought we had a lot of snow while in Oberammergau!
WOW thats a lot of snow:)wonderful shot*********
This would have been a wonderful winter scene if not for the dread cold and snow that winter signifies. I sure hope no one had to endure all that cold and snow out in the open. I have very mixed feelings about winter and snow. (It's summer the whole year round where I stay. :) ) Winter scenes can be such things of wonder and beauty -- but winter can also be a source of pure misery!
