Description
Another shot of objects from around my house. This is a closeup of a piece of brain coral that is a little larger than the average human brain, though I've read that brain coral colonies can grow to 6 feet high. I found it in a strange little store called the Odditorium in Duvall, Washington years ago. It was one of those stores where antiques, junk, art & natural objects like this coexisted in a haphazard, surreal way. Unfortunately, it's not there any more...
Please zoom.

Great sense of image !!!
Nice close-up. I wish my brain was that big!
I've got a bit of this too, but it is very weathered. Great pic!
tis by far better to have some brain coral than coral brain! Wonderful capture
Fantastic image. I like very much the colors
Isn't this what Hawaiians wear around their necks, lei like? Nigh onto white caterpillars in this very cool surreal shot. The only time I get to see brain coral is when I go to the Pacific aquariums around the area.
superb macro
fantastic capture and impression! never seen it before, so it is interesting for me! ;o)
