Wow! What a great capture. He looks so soft and fuzzy. Amazing that he is out busily working in mid-January. He would be blown off the flower here in the Netherlands today and he would be rather cold too.
unbelievable... they are still active ??!!! fantastic focus and sharpness on the bumblebee
Should he be about, he's got his fur coat on!!!!
I see that he is checking out the rest of the flower before moving on Great capture
Bees in January...What is going on with the world eh?
That is wonderful Andrea
WoW! Superb close up of this busy mini beast! The flowers are feeding the few that have ventured out so early I suppose.
Very nice close-up. I never thought that they are active in January.
wonderful micro
Lovely shot but it should be too cold for this to happen !!
WOW! You are so lucky to have such creatures in your garden this time of the year.
Awesome macro shot of this busy bee Andrea. We still have at two and a half months of harsh winter left to fight through.
Wonderful colours and details. Unusual to see bees at this time of year. The weather is a little crazy at the time, here too. A few days ago we had -5°C, for tomorrow says the weather forecast +15°C and there was a hurricane warning.
He has a white fuzzy tail? Could this be the Easter Bee? His posture makes me think he's hung over. Outstanding capture and gorgeous colors.
What a beautiful bee! Lovely perch too!
Looks like he dipped his tail in the bleach! Such festive markings!
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Fabulous capture!
A fantastic photo Andrea but I am surprised at how small his wings are!
