Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Beautiful sculpture !!!!!!
Wow, what a interesting mask Andrea. The striking features and markings are remarkable. Awesome art-work indeed !
Very cute face you can't help but smile when you see this
wow, you are one creative lady ! I love him ( but not to pieces, because I don't want to destroy him)
Just another example of why I would love to own anything from your hands. The wart is a nice touch.
This is superb and I just love that wart on its cheek!!
Excellent sculpture! Great shot! :)
Love the mask. xx
It is so expressive with those big eyes!!. The ears are a challenge...is from 'mars'? i love the smile and the detail of the wart:) and the hairstyle:)) I love everything in her, Andrea. Thank you for sharing. You should do more !!!
What a face!! Spooky with a smile is the most unnerving mixture! It will get a reaction from every viewer. It looks 100% an ARR production, excellent clay work and shot! I loved working with clay whenever I've had a chance. It's all the work after it's sculpted to get a finished piece that makes me respect anyone who does it! A friend of mine makes bespoke bonsai pots, it takes so long with so much care, skill and electricity!
Fantastic looking mask Andrea :)
Stunning..certainly making a statement..demands a reaction. Happy new year Andrea
OMG! Not a selfie I'm hoping? Just kidding; thanks for the amazing image.
That is brilliant Andrea
I wouldn't like to meet your model in the dark.
HA! I absolutely love that mask, Andrea :-) It seems friendly and I think it is awesome with that smile and that funny nose---- ears and... eyes :-)
the face of 2015, a corker. I have a new computer now, an appleMac, so a whole new learning curve for me, such a joy to write a line or two without checking every letter, happy new year Andrea.
This was a frozen face :) :)
This is a terrific mask. You do such wonderful work! I would know this for yours anywhere ... and I love your style!
It's fantastic work; wonderful capture of it too!
Oh wow I just love this Vulcan Monkey mask!!! What a creative lady you are. Thanks for sharing.
Anybody can create a face but the eyes are just marvelous! Love them and how deep you set them!
Magnificent mask/capture!
I get to comment on this as art. Your masks and other related pieces have an air of Oceanic and Native American and African masks and statues. The accentuated eyes, nostrils and lips, etc, the way the whole face resonates around each feature as waves do around a pebble dropped in their midst---those old myth-artists saw a gaze as a protrusion into the universe, which set everything into motion. In the Pacific Northwest, the artists put such design into cheeks and chins---any open surface demanded isobars and energies, everything was in motion around the eyes and lips, etc. You get all that in your masks and statues...but you also have humor. There's always play. The few people I've shown this to were both delighted and shocked (I pulled off a cloth, so they could see it suddenly, not gradually, the mask is sudden, it grabs us): They were stunned and totally delighted. "It won't stop staring at me," said a friend, "and it's so much fun!" I love the varying hues, even if some of them were byproducts of firing or of aging; and the wart, and your usual crease lines, and great pointy ears too. You get the meeting between mythic and funny without any tension between the two---the two are in harmony, they never vie. Do you know how hard that is? In writing, it's sometimes very hard for me to do humor and serious in the same piece. It's walking a narrow ridge. An impish piece of magic straight out of the comedia del arte where whole characters were created by simply putting on a mask...wonderful! And btw, the placement against the diagonal slats of the table is just right, too...
