Description
No, that's not it's real name, but I thought it looked like a bat with it's wings spread (it's about 6 or 7 inches across). This past week, I've been walking around our property & finding lots of interesting mushrooms of different types. This photo was the best of the lot I took, but I will be looking through the rest to see if any others are worth posting...
Better zoomed.

Great work
Very elegant POV :)
Gorgeous photo! What a great find.
Great eye, it surely looks like a bat! I love the golden hue!
Fantastic POV!
It looks like it's just landed and is ready to fold its wings. What a great shot!
now I'm waiting for your photo of the mushroom-winged bat! Great capture
With that orangey sculpturing, most suggestive of some of the archaic gargoyles seen often on old buildings and churches in Europe. Terrific clarity, POV, milieu, and mood ambience in this capture. I rarely see mushrooms of any kind in my neck of the woods.
Great shot! Detailed and well balanced, nice object too ^_^
Splendid capture!!!
wonderful
Ooh, wonderful detail in this excellent capture!
Beautiful; and zoomed, the details are vivid. The gills under the mushroom harmonize with the needles on the ground. And they're such a beautiful almost chocolatey red brown. And it does look like wings, yes. And the detail on the needles give a rich bed for it. When I first saw it, I wanted to get the wall out of the way, but after a minute or so, it actually divides the piece into two hemispheres, and I like it. (Removing walls for a photo is a dream, I realize. "Hope you don't mind, but we're gonna move the house a few inches---we'll put it back as soon as we get this shot...") The mushroom looks like an eagle about to take off. I love its color! Fine closeup of a freakish but beautiful mushroom.
A delightful look at the gills under this mushroom and a beautiful view it is! :o)
