Description
Captured 9/27/14, early morn, on my way home from the 99+ cent store.
This particular beauty sported big leaves. I lean toward it being a succulent of some sort because it lacks the auxiliary needles or other sharp pointy ouch things to make it a cactus. Then again, maybe there are varieties of cacti out there that don't have needles or other sharp pointy ouch things. This is mostly beyond my ken. Could be this plant is neither cacti or succulent.
Have a nice day.

WOW... I love thes colors... Marvellous capture and picture my friend... Really marvellous!!!
splendid colors on these leves, the sun seems to b e In the leaves...a natural dream !!!
Whatever its ID, it's a lovely shot of those coyly curving leaves; maybe an aloe? Excellent detail and light control, Harry!
Beautiful shot,
Very nice work on this super colorful capture, Harry.
Very very great shot !!!!!
Very nice!
yes, I don't know what plant it is either, Harry, but the picture is just gorgeous. Denise spoke of "light control"---I never thought of it in those terms, but it's a fine way to describe it. The light is "distributed" so beautifully in this shot, and brought forth in climax so beautifully. And the composition looks like a head-on overview, with the plant bursting out at us from that center leaf folded over and reaching towards us. It's an archetypal plant shot, and I'm so glad you cropped it where you did---ie, allowing the power of the "burst" to be contained inside the shot-proper (cutting off edges can do that, as you know well; the same is true when a director cuts an action shot suddenly, so the "unseen" action---the cut-out-part---is thrust in our laps instead of played-out on the screen): You allowed the burst to stay inside the image and it's all the more powerful as a result. Beautiful. I'm not leaving tons of comments today due to my back, but when you posted this, I almost jumped out of bed and commented then and there, because it's such a fine capture. Whatever plant this is, it thanks you for representing it so well.
I'm not an expert by any means but I think its a succulent, not a cacti.. Great POV you've captured Rob
