Description
It was a sound not unlike a trilling-chirp that floated through the trees. It was nothing like Martina had ever heard. There was a sudden commotion and then this odd looking little creature appeared before her...like nothing she'd ever seen. She nearly lost her grip on the bucket as she started in surprise.
It floated above the ground and seemed to be all tail and head. It looked just as surprised to see her as she was it. They stood there looking at one another, heads turning this way and that. At last Martina asked it in a voice as calm as she could muster, "What in the world are you?"

Is this the opening scene from The Attack of the Merpal? Wonderful scene! The POV and that quizzical look on her face are great. I also like the sloshing water in the bucket.

Triffid? Giant Hogweed? Brocoli belted by gamma rays? Animal cross mutated with Kermit? She is lovely. Great scene and nice detail. I'm fairly stumped I'd say.
