Description
Another cover, another surface pattern, captured early morning, 12/8/14, somewhere around the neighborhood.
In case you're wondering, the L A C F C D stands for Los Angeles County Flood Control District.
Have a nice day.

amazing capture !!!
I wish the manhole covers in my city looked that nice, Harry.
Beautiful collection !!! Very great capture also !
Well found and captured; if you look in zoom the pattern on that cover looks like a mass of starfighters in battle formation!
Nice capture of another pattern. I don't think I ever gave it much thought about how many various patterns might exist. Thanks for the info on the letters too; I was trying to figure them out.
another shot that caught me instantly. The light is so intense (and it looks like that early morning bleached high intensity variety that you capture so well and often). And it makes the manhole cover seem alive. I like Denise's comment about the starfighters---never thought of that, lol! But the pattern makes an almost neon effect, with that light. And you framed it so the pavement makes a natural---and quite buzzing---frame. More of your early morning pavement electricity. I mean, it's a simple image, content wise, but it's popping. Like popcorn on a hot skillet with no oil. It just pops. Terrific. Lot of strong-light images of late. The diamond patterns here are almost "flat" like a painting or print, it's amazing how the light almost renders them a graphic piece. Terrific work with a simple chunk of metal and pavement: Sizzling.
