Description
Captured 4/21/2012, somewhere within the vast boundaries of the neighborhood.
Geranium is a genus of 422 species of flowering annual, biennial, and perennial plants that are commonly known as the cranesbills. They are found throughout the temperate regions of the world and the mountains of the tropics, but mostly in the eastern part of the Mediterranean region. The long, palmately cleft leaves are broadly circular in form. The flowers have five petals and are coloured white, pink, purple or blue, often with distinctive veining.

Crisp and lovely lavender perfection in this excellent shot, Harry; I love that design drawn on the petals, it's almost like the markings on a tiger! Beautiful!
superb capture...I love the flowers of geraniums, but I do not like to see me too close to them, because their smell is very often unpleasant !!!
Beautiful! Definite zoom worthy too.
Harry, I most certainly enjoyed this colorful capture and thank you so much for the detailed information.
I love these colors... Marvelous flowers also !!!
Beautifully colored & patterned flowers & those leaves that look like they're fringed with yellow are beautiful as well - fine shot...
beautiful flowers and colors
I know I'm going backwards again (a few steps forward, then a few steps backward), but I'm trying to get as many of your recent images as I can, so I skip around. Yes, the markings on the petals do look like tiger markings (ala Denise), and those yellow fringes on the leaves are beautiful (Claude). The leaves are a tapestry back there. And your layout of the flowers is in a V, or better, a "check mark". (lol---I don't mean to whittle these flowers to a little check-mark, but they do look like it, for a moment.) The bright whites and the deep pinks are in scintillating contrast with all those greens (and yellows, and some reds). A really fine shot, Harry another in your long and beautiful flower series...
Beautiful colours and amazing details you've brought out.. Excellent work Harry! Rob
