The next morning, everyone woke up refreshed. Archie went into one of the guest rooms and woke up orderly Mike. Jarrett was already up and Herman was already fixing breakfast. 'I think I am getting the hang of cooking.' Herman says as Archie comes into the kitchen. The smells coming from the kitchen were very enticing. Herman found all the necessary ingredients in the fridge. Ham, bacon, eggs, and a special recipe for pancakes he downloaded from the internet. It all came together perfectly. Orderly Mike was still in shock over Herman, but it didn't affect his appetite. He couldn't compliment Herman enough on his chef skills. 'If I could blush, I would.' says Herman as he did a silly little mock curtsey. They all laugh at his antics. After breakfast, Orderly Mike rushed off to the hospital, not wanting to be late for his shift. He thanked Archie and Jarrett and especially Herman for all their kindness to him and hoped they could do this again sometime. They all agree that would be a great idea. 'Now that we all have each other's numbers, we can keep in touch!' says Archie. Jarrett and Archie clean up the dishes with Herman trying to assist, but Archie warns him not to get his circuits wet. They all laugh at that one as well. A short time later, a knock at the door reveals Jarrett's boss, or rather, bosses. Archie tells Herman to go down to the lab and wait in the extra room. They will all be down there shortly. Jarrett introduces Archie to his bosses, Skylar Pope and Reed Bagdanovich. (Yeah, kind of corny, but I like how it dovetails together here.) They visit awhile until Archie feels comfortable enough with them to let them see Herman. He leads the way down to his lab. Once down there, Archie speaks loud enough for Herman to hear him in the other room. 'Please come into the lab, Herman. I want you to meet some people.' Herman makes a grand entrance doing a couple of his cartwheels and a double back flip and lands on his feet right in front of the two now totally shocked businessmen. Then he greets them by name with a very pleasant little speech. Archie hadn't planned for Herman to do that, but he can see it really got the meeting off to an impressive beginning. 'OMG! What have you got here, Archie?' asks Reed! 'I can't believe my eyes! This is light years beyond anything I was expecting to see today!' 'Well, he is my inspiration!' says Archie. Reed and Skylar take turns visiting with Herman asking him many questions and trying to keep their jaws off the floor in the process. Hours later interviewing Archie and Herman, both Skylar and Reed ask what Archie and Herman's plans are next. Archie says he isn't currently under contract with anyone and thus, he and Herman were working on another more sophisticated brain for Herman. Unfortunately, the brain was damaged in the break-in and work will have to start all over on the project. 'We'd sure like to help you!' Says Reed. 'We can supply you with about any kind of assistance you want. Once you get to know us better, we would hope you might like to be a part of our organization's family. We'd give you all the freedom you want and take care of your research funding needs. Is that something you might be interested in, Archie?' asks Skylar. 'Well, let me talk it over with Jarrett and Herman. I'd like to get their opinions.' 'Please do!' Says Skylar. 'We wouldn't have it any other way.' After discussions with Jarrett and Herman, Archie is convinced to give Skylar and Reed's proposal a trial. It was Herman's idea to put in a trial period just in case Archie didn't feel uncomfortable with the Trust. 'Okay, gentlemen! Lets embrace a new future for mankind!' Says Reed.
