Description
When I was in Seattle I heard people talking about how "the mountain came out". It referred to the clouds and fog lifting around Mt. Rainier. Well, here I am in a completely different direction (somewhere in Washington, I think) and there it was!! I was still a long ways away, but that's what zoom's all about!!

Yes, it's Rainier. And yes, you were somewhere in Washington. You can't see it from anywhere else. And! What a great shot! I love this! When I saw the thumbnail on the gallery page I was drawn to it like a magnet. Fantastic!

the soft texture of the clouds, with the almost ice-cream appearance of the mountain peak, make this a delectable iced-dessert capture. It really looks sensual, emerging with such pure white surfaces. And the sky is so smooth, with such smooth gradations from one hue to the next. A beautiful shot of this amazing sight. One of the best shots of Rainer I've seen.
