Description
This display is part of the gigantic aquarium at the Atlantis Resort, Nassau, Bahamas. Pottery had been stacked for moray eels to live and breed much like an apartment complex. It was hard to judge the size of this green moray eel but I would guess 20 to 24 inches (51 to 61 cm). Photo taken a few years ago. Do zoom.
Moray eels are a family of cosmopolitan eels. The approximately 200 species in 15 genera are almost exclusively saltwater, but several species are regularly seen in brackish water. The smallest moray is the Snyder's moray which attains a maximum length of 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) while the longest species, the slender giant moray reaches a length of 13 feet (4 meters). Info from Wikipedia.
I have updated my computer and installed Windows 8.1. All went well until I started to review your postings and none were visible. Everything looked normal with titles and dates were there but your photos and renders are not there. I will be back as soon as I can get this figured out. Maybe a new video board.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Such beautiful eels! I remember when on our honeymoon on Maui, we took a group trip on a catamaran to Molikini, but the weather was too rough. I ended up getting sea sick on the trip, but I was determined to enjoy the snorkeling. The captain of the ship snorkeled near some of us and we actually were able to see a morey eel...along with schools of tangs and other tropical fish. It was amazing!!! This is a great shot you got!!!!
Very cool capture Dana I hope you get the issue sorted

sounds like a browser problem more than your video card, for sure if you can see other pictures on the internet the only experience I have had with eels is from a child and hearing my mother talk about ones neighbors caught while fishing. really a great capture
