Description
A funny thing happened during my photo-shoot of the capitol building in Jefferson City, Missouri about two weeks ago...a blimp slowly flew over. How often do you see that these days?
Most of the light on the dome was from the setting sun.

cool
Talk about timing! What a great shot, Bill! With the lighting on the Capital building, the sky, and the timely appearance of the blimp, this has a rather ethereal feel to it. I like it very much! Happy Birthday (a little late), by the way! :-D
OH THE HUGE MANATEE!
And a political blimp too, as I recall. I wondered at the time what their purpose was. Flying a blimp around the Capitol building at sunset on a Friday night seems like a non event. Who saw it besides us? I love the light on the dome. This is a wonderful shot, and the ineffable blimp adds a layer of mystery! :*
Cool POV and lighting effects in this shot, Bill.
Wonderful and very cool capture Bill
What luck! The golden light is so warm, makes a cold building attractive.
Perfect timing and a super shot Bill. Belated birthday wishes to you.
a Lucky shot last time a blimp was 6 years ago
A bonus for you Bill. xx
Superb capture Bill. Just at the right place and time to capture the blimp as well. Happy birthday Bill. May you be blessed with good health to enjoy many more birthdays. God bless.
Cool shot! In all possible ways! Love the light and of course, the Blimp lol Well captured! Rob
Hey...that's damn cool.... Missouri hey? St Louis is on my bucket list. It is the home of my most favorite sports team.... the St Louis Blues of the NHL... Been a fan of the Blues hockey team since 1968.... I hope to see David Backes hoist the Stanley Cup this year....
HA! Lucky you to be there in the right time. Well seen and captured :)
Geat photo with good fortune with both light and derigible! I'm a bit surprised the blimp was allowed so close to the capitol building, considering the security situation in today's world. Keep up the good work! :-)
Well, that certainly is a unique shot! In the right place at the right time...great shot, Bill.
Kind of reminds me of the opening credits of Saturday Night Live, the one where the subway goes past and get picked up by one of the cast members. What a great coincidence that the blimp happened to photobomb your shot of the capitol! Love that light!
Funny ? - I wouldn't think so - rather - what an amazing coincidence, and how lucky can you be ? WOW - Bill, you just know when you can hear them above, being the former flying ace ... say no more ;))) I wouldn't even know, if they make a sound at all ??? a sight to behold, BB
This is a special image. Excellent.

The right place at the right time makes all the difference. What a shot, Bill!
