Very interesting rock formation....
As long as it isn't between your toes, LOL!!!!!
The dark green is moss so not a fungus but the lighter blotches look like Lichen which is, according to Wikipedia, a composite organism that emerges from algae or cyanobacteria (or both) living among filaments of a fungus in a mutually beneficial (symbiotic) relationship. If memory serves me correctly, this is a very slow growing organism and is one of the oldest living things on the planet and occur from sea level to high alpine elevations. They are very sensitive to environmental disturbances and can be used as a guide for assessing air pollution and metal contamination. They can grow on (and in) solid rock or longer-lived plants but are not parasites on their hosts, they only use them as a substrate to grow on or in. There is quite a lot more on Wikipedia if you are interested. :-)
it was meant only as a poor joke, but thanks for the information
Excellent photo.

The moss has taken a lichen to the stones !! Nice shot Richard but sorry I can't help.

LOL - a fun shot, Richard! I do see a bit of a face there.
How in the name of all that is holy did you get a photo of me - Lol ! To be honest I missed the face until you mentioned it, looks like 'The Thing' from Fantastic 4 comics fame!
A very nice nature study.
I see a face. I think seeing faces is a more serious a condition than having fungus. everyone is watching meee... :)
I saw the face right away! Very cool capture!

What an interesting pattern. Nice capture.
Tinea is an awful affliction mate!
Nice shot !!!
Lovely shot
The light green and white growth always called it Lichen, the other I always call moss, don't know if this help or you not, but great rock formation and the addition of the Lichen and moss makes it pretty, outstanding capture!
It's a nice capture!
superb
Interesting shot! Very well done!
A quite good abstract :)
Moss, for the dark green and lichen, for the light green.
