Description
The sandstone formations on the right of this image are “fins”. They are what is left over after softer sandstone has been eroded away over time. These particular ones are known as “Park Avenue” because of their vague resemblance to large multistoried buildings.

Ah, wonderful sandstone, my first choice of building materials - but even this, doesn't last forever ;( majestic and very colourful - what a treat for us to see, I love it - a bit like 'Stonehenge', come to think of it ! BB
