As I enjoy a quiet evening at home, as I wanted to, I am able to reflect on what is important to me. It's not what gifts I might have gotten, or how many people wished me a happy day. It is what could I really wish for if indeed birthday wishes came true. I don't know what you could wish for; but for me, it would be a world totally devoid of things we have become tired of hearing about: Cancer, Ebola, debt, war, terrorism, political rhetoric, joblessness, gangs, crime, violence, political corruption,...... I think if we could just eliminate just one or two things from our own personal lists, and then get people to think a little bit about others and a little less about themselves and their possessions; or at least to have some respect for others, the world would be a much better place. I hope you're all having a wonderful evening. Tonight, I'm right where I want to be; home, where it's safe, semi-quiet, and I have some control of the bad news which infiltrates the walls surrounding us.
