Description

I spend a lot of time walking in the swamp lands of south Florida. It is part of my own challenge to lose 20 pounds (about 9 kg) and get out in the fresh air daily. I enjoy the wildlife and the endless view of lush green vegetation. In a sea of tall, green grass was a plant that did not survive. I liked the rust color and the shapes of the dead leaves. I wish I could tell you the name of the plant but there was nothing else in the area that looked like it. I also need to apologize for not posting on Renderosity as often as I would like but very busy upgrading both of our bathrooms, throwing away so much useless junk that we have held on to for more years that they deserved to be saved and follow ups with all the doctors that worked on me during last Aprils hospitalization. Throw in an eye doctor, a bunch of cat scans, dentist plus a colonospeny and I am dreaming of people in white smocks. Last but not least, I am feeling guilty that I can’t get current with commenting. There are so many outstanding photos and artwork out there that I can not skip posting just to catch up. So bear with me a little longer. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

It looks very similar to the beautiful wrought iron balustrade on the balcony's which I spotted around Lake Como, Italy ... in fact, it may only be some dried up weed, which in itself can be quite attractive, just like a sculpture and I like it Dana. BB PS - speaking of Doctors etc. ... been there and done that myself ... and as a by-product I had lost 7 kg ! so, I wish you well - you sounding very positive and I am sure you'll reach your goal soon, keep up the good work.

Your health comes first, Dana! This is so intricate and both the plant and the photo are crisp. I love how the seed pods have curled back on themselves and contorted to show two colours.

Nature is the best sculptor of all, all we do is copy hers! Great find and excellent photo for all the reasons listed above. Take care of yourself and don't worry about comments, if you don't stay healthy then you won't be able to even see uploads much less comment...
