Description
This is one off those critical points where there are so many boats manoeuvring for position, the start! They look all piled up on each other with a long lens shot. The officials shout out the numbers of yachts that commit fouls on other competitors. Or are over the line when the start hooter goes. They then have to do a 360 turn as a penalty. Of course when it will not cause any obstruction to others! They also have to go back behind the start line if they are over.

Great shot! The group of old boys who do this locally look down on the other group who build RC steamships , paddle steamers and so on. I know which I prefer!
I'll try and track down some photos of the latter group boats.
