Yes, in zoom it is a 3 part study, with the whitish rock on one side, and the pebbled rock on the other, with the lichen right in the middle. The lichen is like a colony of little convoluted worms---lichens are a constant source of indescribable forms and communities---which, hugging as a group, seem content where they are, but moving inexorably down the frame. Your shot frames them between the two 'worlds', and makes the colony seem like a big settlement in the "crook" between the two. A beautiful capture of the symmetry of nature, and of all its variety within. The top crevice (a canyon, to those lichen) is the right top-frame for the piece. Amazing presentation...
