Description
Standing at the edge of the rift overlooking the white desert, Dax knew that this was the location the hybrid had transmitted to him, but there was no crashed vessel to be seen. There were no tell-tale signatures of the energy scavengers having been anywhere in the area, and anyway, there would not have been enough time for them to completely dismantle and remove an entire ship. As he turned to call his crew member, he caught a glimpse of flashing light out of the corner of his eye, and turning back, he though he saw a shimmering against the white sand and rocky outcrops.
Could the ship be phase shifted? If so, how long did he have before the astronomical energy requirements to maintain the shift caused everything in the vicinity of the ship to implode and disappear into the inter-dimensional void?
This is a continuation of the story begun in "White Desert" and "White Desert II - White Heat".

Excellent, excellent - the zoom is outstanding. I love his outfit and expression, very convincing. Great story idea. I already saw number 4 (first one I saw) but I will re-visit now that I know what is going on. Keep it up!
