Description
While I had some decent photos of the over all costume, none of them didn't really do justice to the mask.
I'm especially pleased with this creation, as I'd only made a couple of very simple masks, and this was far more complicated than any other part of the costume. The pieces for this were cut and sat for months while I worked up the courage to tackle it.
The end result doesn't bear much resemblance to what I'd planned, but I'm totally thrilled with it, even so. The mask quite literally made this costume work, it pulled everything together, and was what people were most consistently struck by the most.
My proudest moment by far was the vendor selling food who was yelling a steady stream of "come get..." with a wide range of bawdy and humorous one-liners designed to lure folks over to her cart. I kinda tossed it all over as I walked by and she halted, mid-yell to exclaim "Oh My God!".
Followed by "Hey you! Get over here, I need to get a better look at you!"
Which turned into more posing for pictures and answering of questions. I did alot of that while wearing this thing.

The amount of work and love that went into this is very evident in this photo, Mike! A work of art can be any creation that is put together with skill and love of the craft, and this certainly falls into that realm. Amazing.. I'll just bet you had a blast wearing this - seeing the reactions would have been well worth the work that went into it.
