Description
this old phone booth is on the edge of the parking lot of the businesses next to Treasure House
Somewhat old I'd say
Monday, 1September to Sunday 7 September I will be away with my friend in the Wind River area of Gifford Pinchot National Forest, in the vain attempt to bring down an Elk or deer or whatever else crosses our paths.
Understand that the animals have an extremely high chance of coming out of this alive as I will be using a bow - this means that the odds favor the animals in a very lop-sided manner.
I do not hunt for "sport" or trophies as I find that manner to be disgusting and inhumane.

I've found two phone booths like this on West End Avenue here in NYC! Great find!
Quite the amazing Superman dressing room! Excellent photo and fine capture! Well done, Mike! Happy hunting. Hope you bag a lot of photos!
Great shot, have a nice and amazing trip!
They are going away, have not seen one in years. Great shot, Mike. Enjoy the loss of arrows.
Good job there is no emergency :0))) Have a good time but l hope you miss :0))))))
Awesome capture of this old relic of the past...:)))
lol OK OK I just saw 10cents per min...for cell..loll and no more phone in the cabin...thats horrible
a phone booth without a phone.... awww... have a good time, stay safe and take photos. :)
You would think they'd remove the booth, since the phone guts (and likely the phone book) are gone. I suppose someone could use it for some kind of shelter from the elements if they had to. Great find and capture!
I actually seen a pay phone recently that was still usable maybe. when the pay phones went to private companies the thiefs would want to charge if one wanted to call across the street if it was another area code, and some ridiculous charge also like 50 cents a minute payable in advance
have a great and safe trek. especially do not let a elk bag one of you
wonderful image
Haven't seen one of these in many years. Still looks to be in pretty good shape. Have a safe trip and don't forget to bring a camera. You might catch your friend in an embarrassing moment.
you have to dress as an Indian to shoot one down lol just kidding. very good find and shot
Amazing that you even found one still standing.
That's the show of the times... I remember when you could find dozens of these phone booths. now your lucky if you can find one... that is if it even works... great shot!
I haven't seen one of these in a long time, Mike.
That is an awesome find !!! I miss the old phone booths from back in the day :) Enjoy your trip !!!
Now it is a rain shelter when using your smart phone!
This is really too bad. Not all of us carry cell phones. I consider cell or smart phones to be a rip off. You can still find one or two street phones in Toronto though most pay phones are safely tucked away in malls now. I wish all the natives of the forest the best of luck this coming week. But do have a good time nevertheless. Cheers!
Super find. They were all over the UK at one time and all painted red.
Think I saw one in Dallas about ten years ago, but hey ho! This IS a find indeed Mike. Enjoy your time away. I too, hope you miss! lol (Hiding)
Very nice find and pic
Effectively, this booth is old enough! Very nice colors, superb shot!
I don't hunt but if I were to the way in which intend to is the the most sporting and I wouldn't even mind trying it ounce myself. Good Hunting!
Here in Pretoria they are removing all phone booths as Telkom says that they are a total loss for their company. Superb capture my friend. God bless.
wire less cabin? superb photo!
Nice capture!!!!!
Cool old booth. I would wish you luck on the hunt, but I don't believe in killing animals. I love them too much.
I've not seen one of these around Kansas City in years.... Technology marches on...... Good luck with the hunting, Mike! Have a safe journey!
Wow! Have we changed! It boggles the mind to think of what's coming in the next half century! Super photo.!!!!!
