Description
Taken at a meat and cheese counter in Covent Garden market in London.
This guy was not to keen on my taking pictures. At first he said no, and so I said Ok and put down my camera. Then he sighed, Oh all right. He was very focused cutting and serving and probably thought I would slow him down. I quickly took a few shots, bought some cheese and bread, and moved on.... looking for a bottle of beer to pack into my pack for lunch.

Roxy, this really is a cool capture and I'm so glad he had a change of heart about your taking his photo.
Ahhhhhhhh..... You would post a picture of bacon.... :-P Oh, my gurgling stomach! Now, I'm hungry! A fascinating photo, Roxy. He does seem very focused on the task at hand - and I'm sure that bacon would be scrumptious! Love your photo tours, my friend - the next best thing to being there!
Fantastic shot. I'm glad the guy gave in. It's really a capture of everyday life in motion. Really, his attitude helps reflect the reality. And the cheese specials look delicious. I like checking out new cheeses, and I've never heard of Blacksticks Blue. Excellent.
the picture is fantastic and I'm glad he let you take them (good advertising that). Blackstick Blue sounds interesting - if it is what I suspect it to be, I would have bought a wedge and started peeling paint off the walls..
Just looked up Blackstick blue - it sounds great and looks wicked good
now I'm thinking about Blue Cheese and bacon - yummm!
Very well taken and composed. You have as usual a great sense to capture the meaning of the moments!!!
he is a very serious worker and glad he let you take this great shot.
Fantastic capture !
Maybe he wasn't in the UK legally. There are plenty like that here! Blacksticks blue is a branded version of Shropshire blue, which, bizarrely, is not made in Shropshire!
Wonderful Black and White!!
You have a true gift with photography, Roxy! I love how you captured his expression, the concentration and seriousness with which he approaches his work. Plus that cheese and bacon sounds yummy! :)
Superb capture. Good thing he signed giving you permission taking pictures of him and what he does. God bless.
Excellent postwork on this interesting capture, showing us the daily life of working people, whatever job they do. I often get nervous when it comes to zooming in on people with my camera, in general. You found the right way of getting this guy's agreement for a capture, I admire your patience !
