Description
I'm quite literally fooling around with my mask-making project.
As is usual for me, ideas are not the problem, refining the project to a SINGLE idea is something of a problem.
At any rate, this is a very much work in progress, for my new(est) costume-character for the Michigan Renaissance Festival. As usual for me, this is as much an exercise in characterization as costuming. I think I spent the last 2 years contemplating the character, and only now is the costume finally taking shape.
Lots of work still to go, but I'm rather pleased with the overall progress. I need to finish up the gear by Labor Day weekend, so no there's no time to waste!

Um...should I admit that this makes me think of Krampus in sunglasses? Should I admit that it's cool! I love the concept and I really want to see the finished version!

Love the chin braid. Love the bead-feather thing and the repetition of the braids. This is way cool. Hope you'll continue to share as it progresses!

intriguing and very interesting mask What will it hear and see when it is employed? Who will confess their thoughts when the entity walks by?

Hey, I know what you mean about refining to a single idea - same problem here... This is incredible, Mike! This looks like something that came out of WETA's character workshop. I do hope you'll continue to post photos of your progress.
