Bodie, California
There is very little paint left in Bodie. Over the years it's mostly worn away. I'm sure this building was white at one time, and probably had some nice stained glass windows. Bodie was a wealthy, thriving town, and the church would have had an active congregation.

If the weather has stripped off all the paint then it has done a mighty fine job. A super pic Tara.
Actually the weathered wood is quite beautiful. Nice capture. The design detail at the bottom reminds me of the front of an old radio.

Well you have preserved this, in time it will collapse through wet rot, but your image will go on forever.
This looks so wonderful detailed, with so many sharp lines, in which each catch it's own light. It is hard to imagine this in white paint, Tara. I don't know how the 'rest' of this church looks, but I love your picture, ;-).

Oh, my what wonderful textures - that wood just looks so wonderful - a lovely shot, Tara! I can make out a few barely-there traces of white paint in some of the more or less protected crannies.
