A superb candid Tara and I bet the original is pin sharp. I have noticed with my pics that they always appear slightly out of focus after reducing them so much to comply with RR. I like this shot and I like the b/w treatment.

There is so much to see in this shot. I also had my eyes of the resting bloke on the bench, but also the woman behind him. She is standing, like she doesnt really know what to do. :) I like this shot. :-)

Such a very fascinating scene! I do love this sort of photo, and being in mono is good, as we concentrate on the figures and not the clothes so much. That lad is storing up back trouble for his old age if he cheers up enough to get that far.

Excellent study. Interestingly, I recently read an article that this is a more favourable way to sit, and that the perfect 90degree L is not a good way to sit. But then again, we have had, don't drink tea it is not good for you, then there is drink lots of tea, it's rich in anti oxidants that are good for the heart. Then sugar is bad for you, now we have this five a day thing to eat lots of fruit with natural sugars. I of course don't listen to too much of this garbage, because if we did, we'd starve to death. I think these so called "Experts" get bored so they move the goal posts in a feckless belief we the people are too dumb to notice there oxymoron behaviour. hehe Plebs!

Well, he certainly catches the eye, being so flagrantly in his own world on the bench there; I guess it helps that everyone else is vertical and he isn't. Very cool street scene, and isn't it funny how this kind of shot is never what you think it's about when you take it?

My first thought was "Which one does not belong?" The young man is definitely in his own world. Then I thought this was a similar theme to your "Another World". There is a reason for this. Take a look at the background of "Another World". This is a fantastic street scene with all sorts of interesting characters. From the guy on the right who looks like he is dancing to the woman just to his left. And just what is that guy on the far left looking at? Lots of stories in this one image.

Good call! This shot was taken literally one second earlier than "Another World." :)

This would be a fun scene anyway, but the guy slouching on the bench just makes this photo! It adds such a wonderful touch of humor - he's totally underwhelmed with the entire scene.... The musician, the ladies fiddling with their phones, everything.... It's all so commonplace, he's just going to slide into a comfortable (?) position, and have a nap! What fun. Perfect timing, and a great photo, Tara!

There is great stuff to be seen in street photos. I must do more of that, parades are a good opportunity to capture things with a long lens.

Yes, Tara, it's fascinating what you find in photos when you get home & look at them & I've found that applies to all kinds of photos, not just street photography. I assume you've seen Blow Up, Antonioni's classic film that explores this very subject?

I've not seen Blow Up, not being much of a movie person. I bet there's a lot I miss! :P
