Description
Today I upload pictures of buildings, or homes, which are all in the municipality Schinnen.
All of them are specially intended to give Robert (rachris 480907) probably fond memories
of his stay here, when he worked for the AFCENT, of which the U.S. Army Post Exchange
and Commissary were located in the municipality Schinnen,
actually very close to Sweikhuizen.
To both of our surprise, we found each other here at Renderosity,
as Robert recognized some photos of this area here.
And actually we have been practically neighbours of each other, without knowing it.
(He,he, : "Hi Robert and Sheree, how are you doing there in Oregon"?)
I start with a picture of the Town Hall of Schinnen.
If you are interested to know more about the municipality Schinnen, of which we live
in the parish Sweikhuizen, you can read on it below:
Between the urban areas of South Limburg is the green oasis, Schinnen.
Schinnen consists of six parishes: Amstenrade, Doenrade, Oirsbeek, Puth, Schinnen and Sweikhuizen.
The area of the municipality is approximately 2,412 hectares.
13,000 people are living in the municipality, which are distributed as follows among the six villages:
Amstenrade ......... 2.622
Doenrade ..............1.105
Oirsbeek .............. 3.811
Puth ..................... 2.010
Schinnen ............. 2.799
Sweikhuizen ........... 605
There are about 6.000 street addresses in the municipality Schinnen.
Thank you very much for your lovely comments on my earlier upload, I'm very thankfully for that.

Wow Mies, I really like this photo of the town hall.
Mooi werk.
Very great shot !
Mies, thank you so much for the nice dedication! As you know from remarks I've made, my family's 3-year stay in Nederland is absolutely one of our best memories! Even our sons, now grown, have told us that they hope to visit Nederland again someday because of the good times and good friends they had there. Thank you for sharing these photos. I have a hunch that I'll see parts of Schinnen that I failed to see when I was there, as we were usually going to the Army support base when we went there. I really like this town hall building, and also the "moody" sky behind it. :) Kind regards to you and Karel. Sheree, also, says "Hi" and asks me to give you both her regards. ~Robert
