Description
Taking up drawing again. Working on improving my drawing skills off the computer. I am really enjoying drawing. I can see I have a lot to improve and any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Lovely drawing Nebby!
Drawing is the life blood of true artists. Pencils and charcoal teach one so much about light and dark. That is why I stress drawing something that lends itself to the technique. Draw something that has bold shadows as well as bright surfaces. Leaves and stems are a bit flat and almost 2 dimensional to begin with and even a seasoned pro will have trouble making them look real or just believable. Start with simple geometric shapes and work your way up. Learn to draw well and your knowledge and talent will transfer to 3D quite easily. Good luck and have fun.
Thank you so very much for your comment and thoughts! I have a habit of jumping right in the middle of things. Thanks for the encouragement! Will have to set up the next object with more contrasting light. Drawing is so relaxing and fun.
