Have no idea of the the breed. Looked it up, but didnt find anything like this. Maybe this one lost the spots and the hairy white edges or something,. Dont know. All I know is, that i have never seen such one here before.

Thank you very much, Ursula :-) i will keep the link :-)
Great work on this super cool looking capture, Helle.
This should really be seen on full zoom, because it's beautiful; the background is just as vivid and pretty as the butterfly itself. I have no idea of the breed, as I've never seen this sort of butterfly before. I don't know if we have them in the Midwestern USA. I really like that shade of blue; I want to call it cornflower blue, but I'm not sure if it is or not, but it's very relaxing. It's a friendly, soft blue. Easy to look at. And what a pose! This is a gorgeous creature, and I love the soft-focus of the background, too...such lovely patterns. This is beautiful, and those really-tiny flowers add to the image a lot! I really like it!
What an absolutely stunning shot; the butty is gorgeous, but the whole shot is masterfully composed and taken. Well done you!
Wonderful shot. Aloha
