Description
Seth's family had farmed this land for over 100 years. Now the drought and Depression were about to end that legacy. Two years of failed crops had forced them to take out loans to survive. With the depressed economy, the banks weren't willing to give extensions anymore. They had three weeks to come up with the money or lose everything.
History seems to repeat itself.

in reality this has happened alot, really a very sad ordeal. and a well done image and story, Terri.
Wonderful work here!!!
Very good depiction happening again
You certainly put a lot of work into the detail of this set. I especially like the touch of the old, pedal-driven Singer sewing machine.
your on a roll I think Terri lovely scene my friend!!
This is really sad. I use to visit various farms when I was a kid. Great statement and presentation.
wonderful posing! Horrid situation!!
a very sad story, great image
Yeah doesn't it...... Wife's Grandmother was in the same boat during the 20's, they squeaked through some how... Beautifully done,
Well, it's your story! You have to do something to help this poor family! lol Wonderful work here! Great posing and lighting! I hope there will be a happy ending!
an ongoing shameful story that continues to devastate our society even today.
What a very sad story! The characters really show the emotions!
Oh my god, what happens next?! Great rendering!
Great scene the curse of usury.. I learnt some interesting things about banking last night like they don't actually have any money and they on sell your "loan" to a 3rd party .. so any contract made with them doesn't belong to them any longer..
Principe europĂ©en : Un paysans ne peut pas perdre sa ferme ! Les banquiers n'y peuvent rien ! Il est peut-ĂȘtre temps de retraverser l'Atlantique. Great scene, Terri.
I very fond of the composition here. And I really like the view out the window!
fabulous
Beautifully done.
Oh! This is a depressing one T. Sad that things like this happened to people.
One of the sad reality of the times.... excellently made image!... now how are they going to get out of this...
Impressive work! I think Stienbeck would appreciate this also!
Realistic scene and true to life. The banks never learn and this scene repeats over and over.
Beautiful composition !!
composing the picture and render are great to see.
Fantastic work.
Fantastic scene and characters, great story, outstanding work!
Very nice image... But very sad theme... ---------------------------- As i growded up in a different social and economical system... I compare the situation of farmers with my experiences in agriculture ( no, i'm not an agriculturist - but my former institute developed technologies also for agriculure...) Single farms will have no future. Better are cooperations ( we called them LPG or KAP). A bit to much of Socialism? But - lay aside the blinkers of market ideology... Could we afford the takeover of food production by transnational corporations? Or will this destroy the basics of mankind?
That is Awesome! Very Good cinematic feel and wonderful presentation!
Indeed, it does. The greedy get greedier, and the poor get poorer. It's a sad testament to our society that this scene is repeated over and over again. Very good work, Terri!
Typical Banks!....Great scene, poses and set design.
