Description
This was also taken from Artist Point. This osprey built it's nest on a rock hanging over the canyon. I was actually a good distance away & shot this at the maximum zoom my camera is capable of (60x which is a 1200mm equivalent) & the osprey itself isn't as sharp as I would have hoped, but I thought the structure of the nest & it's location made it worth posting...

Well spotted; so often the nests tend to blend in with their surroundings, which one would expect for survival, but hard when the nest is so big! We have several here built on cell phone platforms!
You won't get perfect shots with that uber-zoom business, but that's okay, because you actually GET the shots! This is certainly clear enough for me to see how amazing the construction is, with all those little branches. And the osprey is at home, too! Bonus! :)
