In picking and choosing, please know that what I DON'T choose is not one iota less to me than what I DO choose---sometimes it comes down to picking at random, because I just can't prefer one over the other. Your travel shots have been wonderful, so that's made it even harder. So please keep that in mind... I've been to this canyon, and I took pics too---only I was a kid. I thought, "too much yellow in this damned place!" And I see, with your shots, that the place really IS yellow. But having the eye you have, you've turned its yellows and oranges (and browns) into a big cascade of hue and texture. And the shot feels like a big plunge, which is how the thing felt to me years ago: a big sweeping plunge. Very strong highlights on the rock, and very strong lines too. The front rocks give a balance to all that reddish yellow, in that they're more "beige" (good ol' dull beige). They do allow us to open-up-into the canyon, visually. And because you give no sky---this is true of a number of your "in the middle of things" shots---we're really thrust into the drama of the place, head first. More fine work, and very dramatic.
