Description
African Grey
Tropic Spirit
Messenger of communication
Teaching me to listen
To my outer and inner voice
To know when to speak
And when to stay silent
To be aware of what
I am saying to myself
To hear my thoughts
So I can embrace the positive
And trust when it is time
To go after my dreams.
Tropic Spirits - African Grey prose by Carol Cavalaris ©
Credits: Another in my Beauty In Nature Collection, paying tribute to the beauty, wisdom, and guidance of the African Grey Parrot. Created in Photoshop CS6, using photo references, hibiscus and berries by jaguarwoman, blended with an Organica background by romanceworks, and painting techniques. Special thanks to Ilona Krijgsman for the use of her lovely parrot photos.
Hope you enjoy. :o)

Ecellent, my friend has an African Grey called Gabby. I am amazed at her talking skills, she even asks you questions!!!!
Beautiful!
Carol, as always you have managed to compile a most impressive presentation. I always marvel at the ease in which you seem to craft these beautiful scenes, and find myself staring at the fine details contained within for the longest time. Equally important is the positive message contained within each presentation you share.
beautiful artwork, beautiful colors
This render made my jaw drop! It is SO amazingly beautiful and brought tears to my eyes as I remembered our Grey, Sarah, who we lost to cancer four years ago. Although we have five other small parrots, her passing left a hole in our hearts. The details of the berries and flowers add such beauty to those two feathered beauties. This is certainly going into my favorites!!!!
Erestorfan, I'm so sorry you lost your beloved Grey Sarah, and am so glad you enjoyed this artwork.
GASP! Gorgeous, Carol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am back, slowly re-installing software.... so hardly getting back to commenting yet... sorry!
