Captured on Father's Day, 6/15/14, overlooking a channel adjacent to the Los Angeles Waterfront.
Second in this series of the good ship Atlantic Diana, a chemical/oil products tanker, flying the flag of Hong Kong, port of registry Hong Kong, built in 2007, length 601.83 ft/183.21 meters, double hull, with a gross tonnage of 29266 tons. Destination at this time is San Francisco. Those huge Martian War of the Worlds-like structures in the background are called loaders, i.e., cranes.

What great shots of this behemoth, from various and sundry angles and poses; what really gets my attention in these is that cool short float boat on the launch ramp near the top stack...I'm sure it's a lifeboat, but it looks like a fun ride at an amusement park! Excellent work, Harry.
this new series of beautiful pictures of this boat, led me to think lke danger of such a monster if it is severely attacked by a raging sea and, despite its double hull, its dangerous cargo is to be discharged into the Ocean!!! SUPERB work !!!
