Description
Captured back on 4/4/09, deep inside a Planes of Fame hangar at the Chino Air Museum in semi beautiful Chino, California.
And, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE! I had posted pics of this plane years ago, but now, the startling ironic fact is, this is also the same exact Peashooter, its photo recently posted by Rob, which landed in the UK this year for an airshow, one of many that he attends. And, I find it hard to believe that this wee craft flew from the US, across the Atlantic, with the pilot in an open cockpit, without refueling. Even Lindbergh didn't do that; he was in a closed cockpit. In any event, I have several shots of this beautiful airplane languishing in my half forgotten files.
Incidentally, tons of postwork on this since the hangar was so dark inside.
Ciao, baby.

Beautiful plane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really a cool little plane. Looks like it would have given the GeeBee's a run for their money. I am pretty sure this plane was packaged nicely and put on a cargo ship for it's visit to Britain.
I'm pretty sure it was shipped over, logistics of flying aside, the $ value of this unique plane would make such a flight unthinkable. Great photos of this beautiful little lady......
Beautiful aircraft!
Very nice work on this dedi for Rob.
a beautiful cuckoo!!!
The romantic age of aircraft.
Your postwork worked a treat, Harry, very nice crisp and clear, colorful plane and details.
What a pretty little plane! It almost looks like a toy...not sure I'd trust my body in it over the big water (or land, for that matter), but it looks great on display. Great work, Harry!
There it is! The very one.. They in fact shipped in over (carefully! lol), photos are on Fighter Collection website.. I think I've got a shot of one at Dayton as well lol Thanks for finding this for me mate! Rob
