Description
Captured 10/18/13, early morning, off the back of a truck somewhere in the city.
Definitely a device used to bore holes in the ground. Reminds me of an Archimedean Screw.
What if your dentist said, "open wide," and then brought this thing out.
Ta ta.

Believe it or not Harry, I've worked with stainless steel augers almost exactly like this and bigger in the cheese industry that mixes the hot cheese.
Luckily my mouth is not that big! (lol)
Now, if I were able to lift that baby, guess I'd go around and the auger would stay still:-) Good find Harry.
It would be interesting to see a dental insignia using this type drill on the logo. Great photos though.
I can think of a worse use than dental... that's a big drill, that's for sure, but nothing compared to Big Bertha, which is currently stalled underground in downtown Seattle. Excellent shots, showing the deadly size and sharpness of those cutting edges!!!
interesting photographs !!!
