Description
Captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
Sorry, I don't know which one of the stepsisters is Anastasia and which one is Drizella. They were at the Faire seeking handsome princes to wed. With their gaiety, social status and beauty I don't see how anyone could turn them down.
Undeniably ZOOM worthy.
Adieu.

I think the right is Cinderella!!! (lol) but they are all beautiful!! Very nice series!!
Great job on this really fun collection, Harry.
Wow, what fashion sense they seem to have...charms in abundance, just waiting for the right prince to cross their paths. Fantastic additions to your faire series!
guess they was hoping you be the lucky prince
still a wonderful series of magical portraits!!! very fantastic !
Fun captures.. are they men?
But they all look great in their get ups! Outstanding on their parts! Brilliant colours and super for photos! Well done! Rob
I've done 7 images so far (in 90 minutes), but not one Faire shot. Sorry! I just didn't want to ignore your many other categories...it's hard to choose a few faire shots, as they're all scintillating, fascinating, rich, exotic, etc. So my choices are just representative, not statements that this is better than another, etc. I say that often, but want to repeat it... After your 100th faire shot (with that strange headless horseman---a really wild shot, with a terrific human portrait at its center), I realize you've done a major job of rescue, handling, postwork, etc, in this series: You've pointed out that the light was too bright or not bright enough for a number of the shots, but then you rescued the shot from the light. But also because the profusion of saturated hues, confluence of people and wares, mix of centuries and styles, etc, make hard work for any photographer, with any camera, and under any conditions: There's a lot to manage in this series, in other words, a lot of visual confluence to make 'music' from. I realized that you've slaved over these to rescue clarity from lighting conditions, visual collisions, and so on, and find "the shot" inside of each one. I assume your cropping was a challenge too, since you've had so many 'things' in many of these shots. Your "unearthing the shot" has been exemplary in this series, and it makes it a continual joy. Congratulations on that---a wonderful series all around. Ok, this montage: The 1st three are variations of an angle, and they're wonderful. The middle one seems the most posed, the other two have one or other woman pointing or reaching. And variations on one looking at another, too---wonderful group portraiture. The last two are frontal portraiture, and you got wonderful expressions, postures and groupings. Your faire shots suggest a 3 week engagement, as I don't know how you got so many portraits in a single shoot---because portraiture like this suggests time with each person, coaxing, talking, taking different angles...but you worked on your feet very quickly, here. The postures in the last 2 shots of this montage are wonderful, including a fun pride in one of the women, and some fine angled tilts. (Love the bottom woman in the last image.) Wonderful portraiture, and fun and very human. And btw, this being LA---with its huge film and television industry---I have to assume that a lot of these faire members know costume design, or work with people who do; and they know makeup too: It's all very well done, down to the painted faces with their heavy foundations and stand-out rose-reds. A wonderful montage. Real joy in these.
