Description
Some more denizens of the vegetation on Wick Meads.
A male Pholidoptera griseoaptera and an orb weaver that I can't ID yet, as I didn't see the top side!

A lovely photo whatever the spider is.
Nice capture.
Marvelous close up !!!
An interesting confrontation, I would take a guess the powerful jaws of the bush cricket would be too much for this spider, but sometimes nature can be very misleading.... rather like the Black Wasp and the Tarantula confrontations. Great shot.
Very good capture I'd be rooting for the cricket in this match
Lovely capture
Orb weavers are out early. Great shot here Andrea. What a great cricket shot.
cool
I haven't seen a cricket in ages.... Nice shot. Aloha
As the saying goes "You can cut the tension with a knife". This is an incredible image. To come along just at this moment and be able to capture it, brilliant. I agree with Mark, the cricket may be too much for the weaver.
Great shot of nature in action! Do crickets eat small spiders? He does seem a bit large for the spider to consider him a possible meal.
Super finds!!!
SUper shot of these two creatures. Who is blinking first?? :D
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Your world is a very populous place! Lots of denizens of all sizes and persuasions!
Great shot! Something appears about ready to happen, as maybe the cricket going after the spider. Or perhaps the spider going after the cricket? At any rate, excellent capture!
beautiful capture of this cricket !
Excellent cricket details, classic web and hungry spider!
