This is a beauty and you have captured it at its peak. All mine are pinks and mauves this year.
Beautiful.
Fabulous and very beautiful flower Great capture
Gorgeous poppy! We used to have them in the yard when I was a kid.
MARVELOUS... Fantastic colors also !
Wow! This is gorgeous and a little bit scary. Such rich colors with its maw wide open. It looks big enough to eat you (feed me!).
Splendid macro of the lovely bloom. I wonder if this is the same variety of opium poppy grown in the Middle East, e.g., Afghanistan and environs.
What a beauty, Andrea!
" All my opium poppies were pinks and mauves last year, so goodness knows where this came from!" It blushed at the thought of being photographed. I am surprised Jeff missed that :)
I've had that happen, and always thought they were just reverting to the original stock. Wherever it came from, it's certainly beautiful!
The Poppy is such a delicate and beautiful flower, the classic red one is nice to see with it's deep red. They seem to be able to cut through all other colours even as a lone flower amongst many different flowers.
wonderful shot !!
beautiful pov !
Do not ask where this comes from.Be happy for a bright and colourful red poppy. Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Lovely.
STUNNING RED !!!!
I had irises and columbines that reverted to their original color. Maybe this one just wanted to be that bold, beautiful Red! It's gorgeous!
What a marvelously beautiful Poppy. Such a sweet shot too :-)
Beautiful capture!
A gorgeous photo - straight into the center and lovely color combination!
