I do remember double-digit prices. Great capture.
cool
Double digit inflation killed double digit gas prices. It was made possible the removal of silver coinage and silver backed money (step two of the progressive's plan to float the U.S. currency, step one was done by FDR when he removed gold).
cool find and impressive capture! ;o)
Those were the days ... beautiful capture, i like the colours!
Fantastic !
Interestin shot!
I can remember when my dad thought 30 cents a gallon was outrageous.... Things have changed a little..... :-P Cool shot of these pumps, Richard! They seem to be quite the collectors' items..
wow this is old. cool looking too
Aaah yes, that's way back in the day! excellent capture
Brings back fond memories! Cheap gas, which included full service - check the oil, fill her up, and clean the windshield!
Awesome, shot, but, I am a women, so when I was that young my ex did all the car gas buying, lol. I could tell you the cost of the grocery bill back then or price for kids shoes, lol....:)))
Those were the days and they pumped it for you and washed the windshield too!!!!
