19 cents in Texas in 1970 during a gas war. drove to Monterrey Mexico from Tulsa. paid $12.56 in gas and still had a 1/2 tank in Monterrey.(VW Bus)

I clearly remember .99 and it wasn't all that long ago when ya' think about it. It was before 9/11. The stuff in this picture looks like American Pickers wet dream. I don't even know if that show is on anymore. The History Channel went to hell, in my opinion. Very cool picture, buddy.

Prices were about .31 cents per gal of regular at the time I could drive. Stamps were about .04 cents.. We never had those plastic gas credit cards before. Interesting post. Aloha

Yup, was a gas jockey hen those prices existed. You know when a full service station meant we washed your window, checked your oil etc.
