Description
A male Cordulegaster boltonii in my garden.
I am very lucky to get visits from this beautiful boy around my pond, as they prefer running water.

What a beauty Andrea. Amazing capture. God bless.
Or a wasp in disguise. A terrific image. You have such a diverse group of visitors. If we ever see a dragonfly (very rare) its the little brown ones.
Great capture.
What a beautiful little fellow :-) But that spade handle it staring at me !!! A bit rude. ;)
A really handsome lad and what a perch !!
fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!
He is a handsome creature! I haven't seen them here. Wonderful shot!
Fabulous capture very impressive creature
Like a stretched wasp, another winning shot Andrea!
You do an amazing job catching these critters..
Or a Damsel fly in camouflage. I wonder if they need that long rear spike for balance in flight. Sterling shot of the nicely patterned dragonfly.
Very nice profile shot to go with the previous view you posted.
He's beautiful! It always amazes me that they pose for you. :)
What a beauty! Trying to work out what cordulegaster means. Gaster is Greek for belly I think, hence gastronomy being the art of filling it!!!
Beautiful markings Andrea - two great captures!
