Description
This year our Swiss (or Danish, the colors of the national flag are the same) Poppies are like giants.
To illustrate, we have put our garden gnome next to them.
And I ask myself, of which do I know this gnome?
Thank you very much for your look.

I wouldn't say no to a gnome like that!
SWEET ;-)
I've seen Opium Poppy fields in S.E. Asia that cover acres and acres but never seen Poppies this big, like the Giant Sunflowers in the Midwewst US Peace
Beautiful photoshot Mies.
lovely, but too tall for a gnome
amusant!
I've never seen poppies so tall before! I would think perhaps Karel was much, much shorter than I had imagined, but I've seen him playing the organ, and I know he's of a typical height! These are amazing! Great idea to have your favorite gnome pose next to them for context. :)
wonderful image
Funny capture !!! A very nice shot .
Big flowers here.
Very nice... Aloha
From your homepage, I assume this is Karel, your husband. He's the mysterious 'gnome', lol. I wish I read Dutch, because there are a number of Dutch comments here, and they probably give away more secrets about the 'gnome'. (I used to read German, but today? Mein Deutsch ist nicht wunderbar, ja?) A lovely photo; and yes, those are very tall poppies: I've never seen any poppies that tall. (Most of the poppies I've seen grew close to the ground.) Karel looks like a very kind man, and he looks very happy to be with those poppies. You have a lot of lush growth in your property---very nice. A lovely shot, Jacomina, and a very loving capture of your husband too. And thank you for your beautiful and deep poem in my gallery, on music and peace and love. It was very kind of you to leave that, and I agreed with what you wrote, as well. Most of my early piano teachers came from war, and they built a lifetime of love afterwards. Thank you for what you wrote. It was beautiful.
Magnificent flowers, and very nice "Gnome"
Those poppies have to be at least two meters high and a very handsome garden Gnome - I would keep Karel!
