A master archer would have the arrow on the other side of the bow (she can't sight down the arrow on the side it is on), and would draw back the bowstring with her fingertips (for a clean release). And yes, I own bows and know how to hit what I am shooting at with them.
Thank you for your comment, I love bows but I don't know anything about it. I will keep this in mind for the next time.
