Description
A knight in shining armor, captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
Really didn't look that ferocious with the visor lifted.
A ZOOM is of the essence.
Aloha.

all the shots about "Renaissance Faire" are excellengt ! This one also...with a bit of secret humor !!!
Oh, what cool armour he has! I love the teeth on his helmet; and you're right, he doesn't look anywhere near so ferocious without the face guard down. It must have been very hot in there under that bright California sun. What a great series of shots of this knight of the realm! And I never did get the ebot for this upload, and it looks like a lot of other people didn't either.
Very fantastic capture my friend !
Well I got the ebot for this, I just was catching up with earlier work, unfortunately. Your composition on the first two is typically balanced---people on either side of the knight. The 3d, you have a fascinating collision of the knight (sans face-mesh) with a young girl, with a white-shirted adult woman right between them. You might say that you got it that way because you had only a second to get this, and she just 'appeared'...but even if you did say that, I'd say that your eye is working whether consciously or no, that this kind of choice is all over your work, and it makes for a genuine visual confrontation. And his helmet is near dead center in that shot, so there's that balance again. And the last (finishing the composition theme), his helmut falls right in line with the tent-logo above, and there are people on the two edges of the shot. But THAT aside, great to see 3 closeups of this fearsome mask, esp in contrast with the colorful costumes around him, and the modern casual dress...And of course nice to see the guy inside---a really nice looking guy, not who you'd expect to see from a real knight. And sweet to see the young princess next to him (princess because of her tiara, I'm not suggesting she's spoiled); and, in the last shot, a lady who almost seems to be his wife. A sweet set of captures, well-composed, and very colorful and gentle, considering he's decked out to kill. I love the shot of his shoes---last shot: Those definitely AREN'T knight's shoes! Love all that you caught in these shots.
