Description
Captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
One half of the curious pair depicted in my The Beautiful People #1 posting, previously shown. I don't know what she was supposed to represent here - a fairy princess of some sort? - or recall if she adopted this particular pose just for me or not, but other than that, she refused to acknowledge my presence, saying nothing, walking and looking straight ahead.
I'm still amazed over the makeup, so immaculately and precisely applied. A ZOOM is definitely required to appreciate that.

Beautiful shot !!
She reminds me of one of the queens on a pack of cards, for some reason...what an excellent portrait of this enigmatic beauty, Harry; you really did yourself proud at the faire!!
Wow a colorful lady!! this is a superb shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fascinating !
Beautiful, I was there. Didn't see her though, but did see some of her "sisters" in body paint. Nice capture.
excellent portrait and comment for this capture ! great work !!!
Amazing shot - she looks like a living incarnation of a Hindu deity from one of those colorful Indian posters. This really jumped out at me & grabbed my full attention. I wish there was an "Extra Special Favorite" category I could choose for this one...
You found so many interesting subjects at the fair. I've enjoyed looking at them - very nice shots.... Maria
It's ABsolutely fabulous !!!
Great comments above (love Claude's), and deserved; and glad to see the full views. This bursts out at us, full view. Yes, it does look like one of the many Hindu gods or goddesses; it has an Eastern flare to it. I remember her well from the duo shot, but here she has a pose of a ceremonial dancer or goddess. And the fact that she isn't acknowledging you feels part of her "performance," as if she knows you're there but isn't breaking character...as if she wants you to capture her just that way. You got a mythic shot here, her fingers look like the poses one finds in buddhist and hindu art (indicating various gestures of concentration or beatitude/giving); and the contrast of her facial color with headdress and blue scarf is stunning. You got a powerful portrait here, it's good she didn't look at you because it allowed you a mythic goddess pose---which is unusual for your faire shots, so far, because most are acknowledging you and look so human; whereas this woman looks like someone from a ceremonial dance to Shiva. Terrific portrait. (And, as a little treat, the woman in the background---on the right---looks like she's smirking: She's blurred, but she looks like she's thinking, "who the hell do you think YOU are, lady!!!" Or at least, "you've GOT to be kidding...") Another gem in this series. (Again, I'm at 9 so I'll stop for today. I skipped ahead, with the last 2 images, to show that I've seen everything you've posted. I'll go back to where I left off, next time...)
Yes, I can see that under this very impressive make up is a beautiful girl... Great job mate! And well done her.. Rob
