Description
The hummingbirds arrived at the end of March and were surprised to wake up to a freezing cold morning in early April. This female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird sat near the feeder all fluffed up against the morning cold. I got several shots of her that I'll share in the future. Try zoom view for a bit closer view of her feathers. Thanks for looking and thank you very kindly for your 'welcome back' and for your comments.

An excellent shot, fantastic details in full size. I think you need a lot of patience to shoot such outstanding photographs.
Oh what a cutie pie! He sure is fluffed up against the cold! I love the sharp and shiny eye detail!

Perfect capture !!
Superb capture Maria. God bless.
What a stunning portrait of this little hummer; she does look quite chilly! Love the background in this shot, it seems to harmonize so well with her colours.
Such a cutie, and of course the photo is perfect!
sweet
Fantastic image. I like very much the colors
Bird looks very relaxed.... Nice shot. Aloha
Delightful details in zoom!
Just so adorable! Lovely shot. It's this cute factor why I keep my feeder filled up.. lol. Great catch.
Super closeup of the wee thing, trying to stay warm while sitting up there on the cable. You are so fortunate to have caught this creature at rest, and not flitting back and forth as they are so prone to do, making a capture of this variety of avian virtually impossible, Glenda. Judging from its appearance, the poor thing needs an overcoat.
Beautiful capture.
Beautifully captured!
beautiful bird and capture
The clarity here is amazing. Bravo!
Simply wonderful shot! Poor little thing at least now it is warmer (much warmer).
Zoom is an absolute must on this.
