beautiful orchid
Orchids are really quite amazing in their shapes and varieties.. And, what a number Harry 2800! Well done! Rob
My last comment was for an image I passed over by mistake: Don't know how that happened, as I've tried to go chronologically for the most part. But as for THIS image: Congratulations on 2800!!! I've just passed 500, and you're almost 6 times more than me. And it's another of your beautiful orchids. You caught the main stalk as a statue, almost, a grand totem pole or a highly costumed soldier in a pageant. It's tall and looks straight at us; and your pov makes the front petals look like shields, or like it's sticking its tongue out (twice!). It's also fascinating because you've got a sign and rail in the shot---not as common in your flower shots as your pure nature-backgrounds: It makes a very interesting composition. As does the angle. The main flower is like a rain-dance stick from the Native Americans, filled with various symbols and totems---it's so rich, so piled up. Another beautiful and exotic capture in your ongoing flower series. And congratulations again! I hope I get this far in my lifetime! Here's to thousands more, Harry!
