They sure are, great capture.
Very lovely
The f/3.3 was a perfect choice.
Gorgeous POV, I love these also!
They're ubiquitous here. I can feel the ridged stem between my fingers just looking at this!
lovely
Wow, never seen these before!
I remember these! We were very disrespectful of these as kids...used to "shoot" the heads at each other...great fun:)
You are right and they are lovely too.
I don't think I've ever seen these when they were flowering. Very nice image.
So Lovely Andrea
Superb capture Andrea. God bless.
Great closeup !
Nicely considered capture.
It doesn't look so ordinary that close up.
beautiful capture, great details
In zoom, you can really see the details on the flowers---this is a very primal plant. It's called "plantain"? I wonder if it's connected with the fruit? It's quite primal and scruffy and there's a sense of power in those blooms. Nice assortment of directions, bends and lots of space between them. I gotta look these up and see if they have anything to do with the banana-like fruit by that name.
Depending on who one is, it is either a noxious weed, or a miracle plant. The Native American name translated means life medicine! I looked it up as I remember vaguley that it is considered to be an herbal medicine, but didn't remember what it is useful for. There is a list as long as my arm for uses of plantain! http://www.altnature.com/gallery/plantain.htm A marvelous picture Andrea! I wonder if your camera is available here in the colonies (:
A fantastic POV Andrea and beautiful results!
