Mountain laurel--I only know because as I was shooting some at the botanical garden a couple years back the docent came by and told me. Lovely shot of these, they have such an unusual shape!

Your strong yellows are, here, like a stained glass backdrop to these blooms. The greens too. The background is chunks of light mixed with darks, and they make a luminous backdrop for your blooms. I'm glad Denise knew the name of the flowers (I've drawn flowers many times but barely know one name from another, and my flower photography is almost non-existent as I just can't get the feel for them with a camera). The flowers look like frozen desserts! I mean they look edible, with little frostings dripping down each petal. You picked a fine contrast of hues to mix with these pink delectables. Beautiful, Claude.
